SFI Gujarat Organised 'Harmony Over Hatred' Campaign in Ahmadabad
Students' Federation of India (SFI), Gujarat held a discussion on 'Harmony Over Hatred' in Ahmedabad, on Dec. 08th as part of nationwide campaign against communalism from Dec 6-19. Comrade Ashok Dhawle, former SFI leader and the present President of All India Kisan Sabha delivered the key note speech. The meeting was presided by Comrade Nitish Mohan (Convenor, SFI Gujarat state organising committee). Thye program was also attended by Com. Arun Mehta (President, CITU - Gujarat), Pragjibhai Bhambhi (Vice President- AIKS Gujarat), members of SFI Gujarat, scholars, students, professors, and intellectuals.
Com Ashok Dhawle expressed that in the era of freedom struggle, Indians gave befitting reply to the British through united efforts. They showed perfect examples of communal harmony as freedom fighters from different religions fought shoulder to shoulder for the freedom of the nation. He added that Muslim League, RSS, and Hindu Mahasabha never raised voice against the British and took part in the freedom struggle. Today, RSS and BJP are misguiding the nation on communal line using the old tactic of divide and rule. He also emphasized that the Left and communists always stood firm against the British and are the thinkers of socialism. They not only showed determination but also courage to raise first voice against anti-social movements. He said that the rightwing is always feared of the Left and communists for their true patriotism. Comrade appealed people to strengthen the Left movement and uproot the Sangh motivated BJP government in the forthcoming parliamentary election in 2019.
